WorshipViewer is an application I've been writting since the beginning of November 2001, to drive a video projector, in order to display song lyrics for church worship. It has enabled us to do away with the overhead projector and all those A4 files of slides!!
Version 0.17 is now available, get it from the Download page.

WorshipViewer takes advantage of a feature in Win98 that allows multiple monitors to be used. You will need 2 graphics card in your PC or a double headed graphics card in order for this software to run.
WorshipViewer (Version 0.17) has also been run successfuly on WindowsXP.
Bob (our Pastor) has been using PowerPoint to add an extra dimension to his sermons, but he found it quite intrusive to have to keep telling the projector operator to go to the next slide, so I've added a remote control option.

The youth group did a quiz recently and we needed an electonic score board. I built one using VBA macros in PowerPoint, but when I came to use it with WorshipViewer it didn't work. This is because WorshipViewer uses the "PowerPoint Viewer" which does not support macros. WorshipViewer v0.9 can now connect to the full version of PowerPoint if it is available and this allows the use of these macros.
Try this PowerPoint presentation score_board.zip with version 00.09 or later, you must have the full version of PowerPoint loaded on your machine and uncheck the use viewer option in the system options.
I've been asked by a few users to put up some pictures of our setup, so here they are...

Here are a couple of pictures of WorshipViewer at work. We use two netwroked PCs so that one operator can be editing slide shows etc, while the other is controlling what is shown to the congregation. The main reason for doing this is the VERY short time we have to set up each Sunday and the fact that so much changes on the morning. i.e. during the sound check when the band needs the words, we also need to edit the powerpoint presentations for later in the service. In the top picture you can see one of the moitors at the feet of the band and in the lower picture you can see the remote control receiver just to the right of the PC running WorshipViewer. |

| This is a picture of the whole setup, you can see the sound desk in the front of the picture and the PCs are over to the right just under the projector screen. |
